Thanks for the patch.  I've forwarded to SAO upstream.  Did you patch
it yourself, or is there some gcc-3.4 tool about which I should know?

Are you a user of DS9?

They have a new upstream release, but one directory (newly
introducecd) has license issues; it used to be nonfreely license
("commercial use prohibited"), but it is now apparently GPL.  It is
still obfuscated, though; function parameter names are all int FOo and
float *BaR.

I'm waiting for them to fix that problem before packaging the new
version, and I'm hoping that a solution to #304804: "Links with
pristine libtcl8.4.so, and not with SAO version" (which can cause
crashes) will be forthcoming.
