Package: libkrb5-3 Version: 1.7dfsg~beta3-1 Severity: important
At our institution, three incorrect password attempts will cause the account to be locked. However, since I updated to krb5 version 1.7, a single incorrect password will cause locking. This problem has been reported (and acknowledged) upstream here http://mailman.mit.edu/pipermail/kerberos/2009-October/015368.html It is unclear (to me) if there is an upstream fix, but if it doesn't come until release 1.8, I suggest reverting to 1.6 for squeeze. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers oldstable APT policy: (500, 'oldstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libkrb5-3 depends on: ii libc6 2.10.1-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcomerr2 1.41.9-1 common error description library ii libk5crypto3 1.7dfsg~beta3-1 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries - C ii libkeyutils1 1.2-12 Linux Key Management Utilities (li ii libkrb5support0 1.7dfsg~beta3-1 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries - S libkrb5-3 recommends no packages.
