This bug has been filed upstream: http://bugs.bitlbee.org/bitlbee/ticket/536
It's due to having a multibyte character or a space character in the display name. It can be worked around by e.g. connecting with Pidgin, changing the display name to a ASCII one and connecting again with bitlbee. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
