Package: libvtk5.2 Version: 5.2.1-13 (Package python-vtk, vers. 5.2.1-13 also affected.)
The library /usr/lib/libvtkHybrid.so.5.2.1 (and others) require libjvm.so, which is not found. See output from ldd /usr/lib/libvtkHybrid.so.5.2.1 | grep jvm (I now downgraded both libvtk5.2 and python-vtk to version 5.2.1-11 and this problem is gone.) My system: mixed stable, testing and unstable, kernel 2.6.30-2-686, libc6 2.10.2-2. Also I have installed sun-java6-bin, sun-java6-jdk, sun-java6-jre all with version 6-17-1.
