Package: mozilla Version: 2:1.7.8-1 Severity: normal Unsure really if this is a mozilla problem, but can't think at what lower level this would be.
I had a faulty name server in my /etc/resolv.conf file, and unfortunately mozilla seems only to use the first dns server listed. Although the second nameserver worked, and dig, nslookup, provided correct dns, mozilla was unable to resolve domain names. I would have thought that if nameserver 1 in resolv.conf is unavailable, nameserver 2 should be used by all applications. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-2-k7 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages mozilla depends on: ii dpkg 1.10.28 Package maintenance system for Deb ii mozilla-browser 2:1.7.8-1 The Mozilla Internet application s ii mozilla-mailnews 2:1.7.8-1 The Mozilla Internet application s ii mozilla-psm 2:1.7.8-1 The Mozilla Internet application s mozilla recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
