Is the patch I attached not clear? it applies quite cleanly (except
for changelog (not important, filterdiff it out) and setup.py install
(different context)). Also you can read it and cut&paste the changes,
they are really minimal.

There are reasons python-involved people are suggesting this to you:
python-central is barely maintainer (for example, look at #559206), it
tends to be broken and sometimes fails on packages upgrades. OTOH,
python-support has a reactive maintainer, it just does the right
thing, and it contains routines for handling corner cases not covered
by python-central.

Feel free to use the helper you prefer: but seriously consider the switch.

(conversion is just a svn-inject -o <url> <pkg>.dsc and change Vcs-*
but no problem) pootle has one but other (I used 'packages') don't (at
least Vcs-* are not used): python-jtoolkit, python-levenshtein . We'd
be happy to host them in the DPMT .
