I've now found someone else with a similar Debian system (same Ekiga version, for instance) to mine with whom I can stably support a call if they use Ekiga at their end to call linphone at my end. I could gather information about their other various package versions and x.org drivers and suchlike if you like to see what is different between their system and mine, given that my Ekiga is unstable and theirs isn't - does that sound useful?
