There are two text boxes in Evince: 1) Page number text box 2) Search text box As of now, "global" key press events (PgUp/PgDn, Ctrl-Left/Ctrl-Right) are processed if I'm in search text box, but are not processed when I'm in page number text box. Both features can be very inconvenient. When I'm in page number text box, I expect PgUp/PgDn to work, but they don't. On the other hand, when I wish to clear the text in search text box and hit Ctrl-Shift-Left to select the text box contents, the page image gets rotated. That's greatly annoying. First of all, the text boxes should behave the same way. The best solution would be to intercept only some "global" key events. PgUp/PgDn, Up/Dn should be intercepted. Another idea is to reverse the key press processing order (process globally only those key press events which were not processed by text box). If above is too hard to implement, no "global" key press events should be intercepted.
