This means that the upstream bug report, will not help Debian Lenny's version of Pidgin. Either a patch must be backported, or there needs to be a volatile update to Pidgin. It's what volatile is for, after all. Pidgin is an end user application, and volatile is voluntary. Can we get a backport, or volatile compile of the current pidgin?
