Hi Mark,

I share your point of view on the real importance of the issue, but formally, a
policy violation is a serious bug, so that is the severity I used for opening.
I also opened a serious bug on my package (velvet). So please accept my
apologises if the severity was a bit shocking, but this is the way it is by
following the documentation.

The FTP team have received a copy of the bug so I hope they will comment on how
to solve it in a time-efficient manner. I hope including README.contrib is
enough. If they want more work, I will propose another patch. I do not mean to
syphon your time, but since I expect that your package's copyright file is 
likely
to be used as a template each time a new package containing a convenience copy
of zlib is prepared, I would like to help its copyright match the current
requirements.
