I can confirm that the username/password chain is only working when
using the middle mouse button and not right click/paste.
However I can _not_ confirm that changing the "show password and other
secrets" option makes a difference. Here also only middle mouse chaining
works.
Have you been using the same Window Manager/Desktop Environment when
this was working? Maybe KDE?
