I've had a quick look and I can't find where that restart is coming from, other than the main docvert-converter initscript. That initscript does need to start soffice in order for docvert to function. But the postinst start doesn't do any gratuitous restarts of it as far as I can tell. Any ideas on how to fix this? I don't see anything the docvert package can do, should I reassign this bug to openoffice.org-writer2latex?
