Hi, being a procmail user for quite some time, I just set up spamassassin as a procmail filter and got the same problem of an added newline at the end of (single-line) messages as described in #193849.
After applying the patch proposed by Santiago Vila back in 2003 and rebuilding the procmail package locally, the problem disappeared. Personally I'd like this patch to be reconsidered for inclusion at least into the Debian version. Regards, Fabian
