Ahh, you're talking about sharing a single working copy between two different computers. For that purpose, 1.6.4 and 1.6.5 are entirely compatible, although the 1.5.1 that ships with Debian stable is not. In any case, isn't it easier to just have a working copy on each computer? That is what most of us do, even when we know all the svn versions are identical.
