Package: usb-modeswitch Version: 1.0.5-1 Severity: normal
Since the upgrade to usb-modeswitch 1.0.5, it is no longer switched, even after activating the rules by commenting out the GOTO="modeswitch_rules_end" at the top of 80-usb_modeswitch.rules in /etc/udev/rules.d I've added the logging in usb_modeswitch.tcl, and the only output I get back is: # cat /var/log/usb_modeswitch USB_ModeSwitch log from Tue Jan 05 19:51:20 CET 2010 raw args from udev: /1-1:1.0///// ---------------- USB values from udev: manufacturer product serial so it seems that udev is not passing all the args it should. I've been trying to tinker with the rules, but nothing useful happened sofar. udev output for this device: looking at device '/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.7/usb1/1-1': KERNEL=="1-1" SUBSYSTEM=="usb" DRIVER=="usb" ATTR{configuration}=="USBModem Configuration" ATTR{bNumInterfaces}==" 1" ATTR{bConfigurationValue}=="1" ATTR{bmAttributes}=="e0" ATTR{bMaxPower}=="500mA" ATTR{urbnum}=="2053" ATTR{idVendor}=="1bbb" ATTR{idProduct}=="f000" ATTR{bcdDevice}=="0000" ATTR{bDeviceClass}=="00" ATTR{bDeviceSubClass}=="00" ATTR{bDeviceProtocol}=="00" ATTR{bNumConfigurations}=="1" ATTR{bMaxPacketSize0}=="64" ATTR{speed}=="480" ATTR{busnum}=="1" ATTR{devnum}=="60" ATTR{version}==" 2.00" ATTR{maxchild}=="0" ATTR{quirks}=="0x0" ATTR{authorized}=="1" ATTR{manufacturer}=="USBModem" ATTR{product}=="HSPA Data Card" ATTR{serial}=="1234567890ABCDEF" the udev modem-modeswitch also doesn't work, but that's a separate bugreport. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-trunk-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages usb-modeswitch depends on: ii libc6 2.10.2-3 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libusb-0.1-4 2:0.1.12-13 userspace USB programming library ii tcl 8.4.16-2 The Tool Command Language (default ii tcl8.4 [tclsh] 8.4.19-4 Tcl (the Tool Command Language) v8 usb-modeswitch recommends no packages.
