Sadly, we know python-central is broken, but luckily we have an alternative: python-support! We (as in Debian Python Modules/Apps Teams) are trying to suggest to use python-support in all the packages that currently uses pycentral, in particular in situations like this one, when central demonstrates (another time, if needed) that's not the solution to the python modules problem for Debian.
