I understand, but this seems *extremely* conservative. As I said, the patches have been available for almost two years, they're not that complicated, and they do work. And after all, we're not talking about the kernel here. It's just a user-space program to compute and try some hashes against a provided list. What's the big risk in case there's a bug?
