Hello Guiseppe, /usr/bin/faxmail is a binary program that does not call external programs like textfmt or enscript. It uses the TextFormat class from libhylafax, which probably is the internal logic of the textfmt command. > FontMap: /var/lib/defoma/gs.d/dirs/fonts > FontPath: /usr/share/fonts/type1/gsfonts > > Could you check if these lines would fix the problem you found? I just checked it. faxmail works with these two lines. Lee Howard suggested a different solution in his comment to my HylaFAX bug report http://bugs.hylafax.org/show_bug.cgi?id=925#c1 The current version of ghostscript does not include genfontmap.ps. That's why this file is now included in HylaFAX+. I don't think it is necessary to modify TextFormat.c++ to use Fontmap.HylaFAX. You could also name the generated file Fontmap if it resides in a HylaFAX specific directory. If the defoma Fontmap is somehow dynamic, using this is probably better than generating a Fontmap in faxsetup.
