Sure.  I was aware of its existence because I ran into an already
reported bug about it during my original upgrade :)

No other menu system requires this, to my knowledge.  I'm happy with
even an English-language menu, though, but I'm not prepared to get rid
of my system-wide Finnish locale.

I'm fairly sure it doesn't fix it:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:44:38]:etc$ grep menudefs /etc/xdg/xfce4/desktop/menu.xml*
/etc/xdg/xfce4/desktop/menu.xml:          <include type="file" 
src="menudefs.hook" />
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:44:48]:etc$

In other words, the localized menus do not include "menudefs.hook",
which contains the Debian menu.
