Package: lm-sensors
Version: 1:3.1.1-5
Severity: normal

Thanks for splitting fancontrol into its own package!

When I upgraded to the new lm-sensors package which no longer contained
fancontrol, I still had /etc/init.d/fancontrol and the
/etc/rc?.d/*fancontrol symlinks. dpkg does not remove vanished
configuration files on upgrade, so the maintainer scripts in lm-sensors
need to handle removing /etc/init.d/fancontrol when upgrading from this
version or earlier. Furthermore, the maintainer scripts need to
explicitly use update-rc.d to remove the runlevel symlinks, again when
upgrading from this version or earlier.
