Package: desktop-file-utils
Severity: normal

I have used stow to install a few things under /usr/local, stow has
created /usr/local/share/applications as a symlink into one of the
projects directories.

When I tried to uninstall the desktop-file-utils package it failed to
uninstall completely and remained in a broken state until I moved the
applications symlink out of the way and tried the removal again.

-d appears to report success which causes rmdir to run, but rmdir fails
because it is not actually a directory.
