In experimental we already upload the experimental branch from upstream, whereas sid/unstable tracks upstreams' trunk branch. That's why they have the word `experimental' in the version number. I'm not so sure I get the point of your report, because it looks more like a general request then a specific request to update the version in there. Maybe you just missed that we already have packages in experimental?
