set crypt_use_gpgme by default and let the gpg-agent handle the password caching, I don't know if the Mutt users would like it, probably asking debian-devel@ would be wise. Otherwise we need to wait for upstream, given the change this could take ages and we don't even know if it will be implemented. Removing this bug from the pending list, more thinking is required.
