Package: python-twitter
Version: 0.6-1
Severity: normal

The twitter package uses the simplejson module which was included into
Python 2.6's standard library. It would be nice if the twitter package
would at least use the std library 'json' module as fallback if no
simplejson is found.

FYI:
Python 2.6 only includes a pure-python version of simplejson as 'json'

Python 2.7 will include a later version of simplejson (I think it is
2.0.9), where it should be faster by using a C implementation.
