The new package will migrate to testing automaticly in about a week.

Perhaps it can be used in a 'PerlModule' directive? The bug is grave

The patch[1] is rather slim so I expect no problems for a stable 
update. Note that this still has to pass via the stable updates queue 
and stable release managers.
