Package: netplug
Version: 1.2.9.1-2
Severity: important

Let me cite the package description:
> It's similar to ifplugd, but uses NETLINK instead of regularly polling
> the link status. This improves power-consumption with laptops, but does
> not work with all network card.

This is the theory. Problem is that this differs from what netplug does
significantly. I get flooded with log messages like these:

Feb 4 16:45:34 hostname netplugd[29026]: No interface name
Feb 4 16:45:34 hostname netplugd[29026]: Callback failed

What makes things worse is that this happens about 4 times per second.
So it does not only worsens power-consumption by waking up my cpu, it
also fills my disk and makes it spin up.
