Package: Fluxbox Version: 1.1.1-6 >From Downstream -- >https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fluxbox/+bug/379678
Hello, I wanted to set the default background in my Fluxbox in ~/.fluxbox/overlay file. Its current content is: background: aspect background.pixmap: /home/hacx/obrazky/yellowgradient.jpg When Fluxbox starts, or when I restart fluxbox, I get a small window saying: fbsetbg: Something went wrong while setting the wallpaper. Run 'display -geometry 1024x768+0+0 -window root /home/hacx/obrazky/yellowgradient.jpg' from an xterm to find out what. --- When i run "display -geometry 1024x768+0+0 -window root /home/hacx/obrazky/yellowgradient.jpg", I get no error. Even before this message occurs, the background is also displayed properly. So I am wondering, why does this message always pop up, if everything seems alright? :-) Thanks in advance, for suggestions. Regards, Tony. One solution given fixed testing fbsetbg with option -i , then installing "feh" $ fbsetbg -i display doesn't set the wallpaper properly. Transparency for fluxbox and apps like aterm and xchat won't work right with it. Consider installing feh, wmsetbg (from windowmaker) or Esetroot (from Eterm) and I'll use them instead. $ sudo aptitude install feh fixed ;) I don't consider this fixed. We should resolve this upstream regardless of Ubuntu considers this fixed -Paul -- #define sizeof(x) rand() :wq -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
