Sorry for my long delay in responding. Could you please tell me which device (-T option) you were using? The reason I ask is that I just noticed that the dvi device wasn't configured to look at /etc/papersize, and committed a fix for that for groff 1.20.1-7; I wonder if this will be enough to fix your bug?
