Actually, I don't see why this is a bug with youtube-dl, since that is
not exactly a legal URL, but, instead, a redirector. There could be an
endless chain of redirections, and I'm not convinced if youtube-dl
should follow it or not.
I would tend to tag this as a wontfix, but I'll wait for a comment of
yours regarding this.

http://tinyurl.com/yz8ypxx points to, namely
