Sorry for closing this bug. 
The upstream author have said to me, he will not fix it in the way you
had written in #351812. So I have closed your bugreport. Now I know it
is better to let a bugreport open with tag "wontfix".

With these statements you say it is a bug. 

I think it would be the best I set your bugreport to Severity "minor" and
forward your bugreport to a new bugreport on http://sf.net/projects/backup2l/
to the upstream author. And the patch in the (old) bugreport #351812 should 
be forwarded to a patchreport on http://sf.net/projects/backup2l/.

Is this way o.k. for you?
