http://www.bmas-conf.org/2008/5-1_Paper.pdf I tested it with other programs; it also freezes xpdf, kpdf, and gimp, but not inkscape. I conclude that it is more a libpoppler5 problem than an Evince problem, so I reassign the bug to libpoppler5. However, I wonder if this PDF file is actually broken: when used with pdfimages, it goes in an endless loop and keeps on producing hundreds of identical small files. Maybe its structure is not correct?
