It's not "only" on Intel. There are many people who run kvm on intel, and several kvm developers are all-intel shops too. I mentioned that the bug is difficult to reproduce, and that is on Intel CPU too. But I see it now from your side, and yes, for you the package is unusable and hence severity is understandable. Meanwhile, can you please try 0.12.3 package from my site as I mentioned before (see the bug in question).
