Finally upstream fixed it, as reported in
http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/6503 .

The fix is targetted for 4.3.4, and I don't know for what date is
scheduled to be released. You may want to contact upstream asking for
a release "asap" in order to update sage for squeeze (currently is
un-installable and doesn't work) or backport the patches.
