I generally don't bother requesting packaging of beta releases, but in this case---given that you've packaged an alpha release in experimental---I thought you might want to package the beta2 there too. In case you want, I'll be happy to test the package. Very quickly, I've tried to naively port the Debian package to the new beta2, but compilation failed (then I ran out of time to investigate more). While I'm at it, I must confess the current versioning scheme for the Debian package is not terribly clear to me, can you please consider making explicit "~beta2" somewhere, in case you package the new beta?
