I installed the test package and can print as normal. However, I am not a good candidate for testing because I manually edited the following file "/etc/udev/rules.d/11-hplj10xx.rules" to get rid of all the warnings at boot up some time ago. After the install of the new package I did remove the "/etc/udev/rules.d/11-hplj10xx.rules" file after reading your instructions that this file would not be removed if it was manually edited. After all of this, everything still seems to work.
