Package: restartd
Version: 0.2.2
Severity: wishlist

restartd is a grand tool - just the one I have been missing to respawn instable
services.

Is there a chance to get the -i[nterval] parameter into its conf file? It would
make configuration easier for newbies.

The default value should stick to 20s.
Commandline option should override conf (possibly giving a warning).

Each line might get an optional column to state an individual interval.

Maybe an offset could be wise (to avoid too many cron stuff on the hour).

How about generic entries (first line is general, further lines just state the
name of services).

How about dependend services: If dansguardian dies, after respawn, squid might
need to be restarted as well.
However, it might be wise watching both services in two separate linse.

Thank you, keep going.
Bye
Ralf
