I am a bit weary to change anything in the server where I found the bug (it runs web services). Instead yesterday I installed VZ in my home PC, that now runs kernel (linux) 2.6.26-2-openvz-amd64 , and vzctl 3.0.22-14 and it worked flawlessly.
