In an old compaq evo n610c laptop, pm-utils shows these messages.

pm_op(): pci_pm_resume+0x0/0x76 returns -16
PM: Device 0000:00:00.0 failed to resume: error -16

Furthermore, it fails to suspend (after sucessfully waking up from suspend a 
first time) when closing the lid.
