Installing LXDE from unstable worked for me OK. Installation pulled in the following packages: lxde_0.5.0-3_all.deb lxde-common_0.5.0-3_all.deb lxde-core_0.5.0-3_all.deb lxde-icon-theme_0.0.1+svn20091206-1_all.deb lxsession_0.4.1-2_i386.deb menu_2.1.43_i386.deb menu-xdg_0.5_all.deb
