this has been annoying me for some time now. Now I reported it because I can provide a detailed description of what is happening: Whenever there is a GUI application (say Opera) which occupies all desktops and there are also applications which are not minimized and local to the current desktop (say an xterm on desktop 1), bringing up a subdialog in Opera (say a search dialog) and closing it again, brings the xterm to the front. Note that this happens only, if Opera was originally started on another desktop (say desktop 2). So here are the steps to reproduce: - switch to desktop 2 - launch a GUI application A - choose A to occupy all - switch to desktop 1 - launch a GUI application B (don't minimize!) - switch to A - launch and close a subdialog in A Now B should be brought to the front.
