As far as feature requests are concerned, AFAIK the phpBB developers have no official way to discuss those. See also: http://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=31607#p201656 There is not much we can do here unless someone provides a patch. ;-) Or maybe there already is a mod that provides this feature.
