yep, it's reportbug that generates them, the fact that puzzles me is that the codepath that generate those files is executed only when you select the '-o' option or when you don't have a valid MTA (for example passing '--mta=""' to the command-line). Since you're using the 'text' user interface, can you please attach a full transcript of what reportbug is doing, from the beginning till the end (possible with no editing, if not for privacy)?
