Yes, it is mounted as the kernel would do it (read: depending on the
filesystem having a proper superblock etc).

Well, that's a good suggestion. Perhaps a hook subsystem so that the
user can perform customized things (not only fsck'ing) on the
filesystem...
I'm setting the severity of this bug to wishlist, though.
