Package: clamav Severity: wishlist Hi,
please give clamdscan an option to signal a running clamd to reload the databases. Alternatively, please include a clamdreload binary which does this. The code to do so is already there, in freshclam/notify.c. It only needs to be factored out in a dedicated binary, which could then also be called on /etc/init.d/clamav-daemon reload. This is needed for clamav-data to force reloading the daemon after installing new databases. I don't see any sense in duplicating the code from notify.c in clamav-data, I hope you agree.
