Please find attached the French translation of the debianutils manpages,
proofread by the debian-l10n-french mailing list contributors.
Here is what the patch does:
* configure.ac
I created a po4a directory, and generated the man pages in po4a/fr.
(see below)
* configure
re-generate because of the previous point
* Makefile.am
The subdirectory is now po4a
* Makefile.in
re-generate because of the previous point
* debian/rules
+ install the usr/share/man/fr/man1 directory
+ create links for sensible-pager.1.gz and sensible-browser.1.gz in
man/fr/man1
+ gzip -9 all manpages installed in usr/share/man/fr/man[18]
* fr
I removed this directory
* po4a
This directory contains the french man pages and can be used for other
language.
The po4a directory contains the source of the French translation (and can
be used for other languages). This directory is currently not necessary
(because I generated the French manpages), but will be useful for future
updates of the man pages. You may also want to generate the French man
pages at build time (to always provide up-to-date man pages), but this
will mean a build dependency on po4a (I can make a patch for this if you
want).
You may notice some lintian warnings ("can't find numbered character"),
this is a lintian bug (#321650).
