Ah, good to see that my early warning had some effect.

Am I reading

incorrectly?  The way I read it, it say that all libraries packages
changing ABI should also change package name, independend of the
amount of packages depending on them or not.

As it is no way to check all packages depending on package (after all,
not all packages are in the debian archive), I agree with those notes
that renaming packages when changing the ABI is the only safe way to
handle this.

I'm almost ready to upload to the delayed queue.  Only need to verify
that the dynamic linking of /usr/lib/libclanGL.so.0.6.3 in package
libclan2-glc2 (through /usr/X11R6/lib/libGLU.so.1) is a C ABI link.
