There were several issues discussed in this bug, and I fail to see that all the points have been objected too. For example, it seemed to be that everyone agreed that depending on extra-xdg-menus is wrong. The was disagreement about changing it to either recommends or suggests, but it should not stay as a dependency. There also seemed to be agreeement that the Development section in the desktop file is wrong. The disagreement was about the sections I proposed to add, namely Education;Science. Based on this, I reopen this bug as there are still several issues that should be addressed. Did you read all the messages about this bug? The summary closing of this bug made me wonder if you just skimmed throught the messages.
