This is a followup on bug #567773. See that bug for background
information. Creating a new bug as #567773 was about several
different topics and I am splitting out each one into separate bugs.

At the moment the desktop file for the kicad package uses these
categories:

  Categories=Development;Engineering;Electronics

Of these, only the Development category is listed as a official
category in
<URL: http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/latest/apa.html >

I believe the Development section do not quite fit the package, and
should be changed. The problem is that there is no other main
category that quite fit the package, and without a main category as
listed in the desktop specification, the entry the kicad menu entry
will show up in the Lost+Found submenu in KDE. It might be a good
idea to contact the desktop specification maintainers and ask for the
specification to be extended with more categories.

Looking at similar packages, I notice these categories in use:

  oregani: Categories=Education;Science;GNOME;GTK;Physics;
  ksimus:  Categories=Education;Science;Electronics;KDE;
  qucs:    Categories=Education;Electronics

All these use the Education main category, and this make me believe
kicad should do the same.

Based on this I suggest to change Development to Education. It might
be a good idea to add Science to the list too.

  Categories=Education;Engineering;Electronics;Science;

Happy hacking,
