Package: strace
Version: 4.5.19-2
Severity: normal
Tags: patch upstream fixed-upstream

Strace is built using ioctl information from linux/ioctlent.h which is quite
outdated (it is timestamped October 2004) and is therefore missing a lot of
ioctls. For example, while stracing libvirtd, I noticed it decodes TUNSETIFF
but not TUNGETIFF or TUNGETFEATURES.

A patch was recently added upstream:

http://strace.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=strace/strace;a=commit;h=ae4db5e1bb7c6a6d550bf6bd28273736ecea4d4f
that brought a great number of ioctl updates; please consider including it
in the Debian package.
