Package: util-linux
Version: 2.12p-4
Severity: minor
File: /usr/share/man/man8/hwclock.8.gz

There is something the hwclock man page probably isn't mentioning.
Else why does /var/log/boot look so odd:

What time does the first part of your /var/log/boot show?
For me it is not the time one sees in the BIOS SETUP screens, before boot.
Does Debian have some other time, ahead of all timezones in the world,
plus a safety margin, for machine initialization, but not documented
on the hwclock man page?

Clock as reference...
Mon Aug 8 03:46:44 2005: System Clock set. Local time: Mon Aug 8
03:46:44 CST 2005 #(CST: Central China standard time)

It seems that the hwclock man page says that the computer's BIOS SETUP
screen clock is the Hardware Clock, but I'm not sure.

Why is hwclock is not local time and not UTC, but local time + 8
hours, UTC + 16 hours? I am in Taiwan and my BIOS SETUP screen clock
is in local time. My computer runs fine, only problem is that
/var/log/boot looks weird.
